Volunteering opportunities for Cherry D
We are looking for anyone who would like to flex their intellectual muscles and show another side of their skills set with the added bonus of helping local charities achieve great things.
If you would like to develop your skills we have a support package to ensure you get the very most out of your time volunteering for Cherry D
We need people who can donate a few hours/week or month daytime, evenings or weekends to be a Cherry D:

- PROMOTER: Talk to local retailers, shops, churches, pools, pubs and restaurants about Cherry D and ask them to take our collecting tins, put on fundraising events, raffles, quizzes etc
- PR/PRESS OFFICER: Help out in our sunny bright office in the centre of Bristol, help with press releases, press calls, photocalls, PR, mail outs etc
- EVENTS ORGANISER: Some Cherry D led and some generated by external fundraisers. We have an ongoing calendar of events that raise significant funding for the projects we support. Information, sponsorship packs, support documents, templates and more plus hands on coaching and support provided to ensure you succeed.
- CHERRY D “SPEAKER”: Are you a aspiring/retired school teacher or capable debater? We need someone to be an ambassador for Cherry D at evening speaking engagements; Rotary, churches, Quakers etc. Regular information and induction days available, plus follow up information and support, all reasonable expenses paid.
- BECOME A STAR BID WRITER: Can you string a decent sentence together? Are you able to donate a few evenings/month. We can train you in a whole new skill! Come to our bid writing workshop and in a few short hours we can give you the wherewithal to become a star bid writer for local charities to help them access HUGE funding from our government which is dying to give away money. We will guide you through the whole process to ensure the success of your bid. Your skills and input could be the stepping stone for deserving charities and you to achieve your goals.
