Cherry D and Billy Smart's Night at the Circus
Friends, supporters and those lucky enough to be in the know had a fantastic annual “Night at the Circus” on Monday 6th October 2008 brought to you by Billy Smart’s Circus and Cherry D
Once again Billy Smart’s Circus (www.billy-smarts-circus.co.uk) donated 200 tickets to their Monday night circus performance to Cherry D which we were able to offer our supporters at a special charity rate of £5/ticket (suggested minimum donation; normal price £10 - £18).
The all human circus acts ranged from astounding to terrifying to hilarious and all who came enjoyed it enormously (especially the children).
As well as being a fantastic night, we raised nearly £800! Cherry D receives no statutory funding and is supported entirely by donations from the public, trusts and local businesses. 100% of the money donated for the charity tickets will go towards helping more community based projects through Cherry D.
Huge thanks go out to all the absolutely brilliant performers and behind the scenes staff, particularly Angie and Tony for all their help and support.
